| 5-18-02 Lincolnton, NC Echelon vs. "Bounty Hunter" David Hayes -Millennium Wrestling Federation Millennium Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Title Tournament Match After successfully defeating Alexander the Great in her first title tournament match the night before, Echelon faced MWF legend "Bounty Hunter" David Hayes. The winner would advance to the next round, and move one step closer to earning the MWF title. With her MWF Women's title and aluminum baseball bat in tow, Echelon makes her way to the ring while "Living Dead Girl" blares in the background. Echelon waits in the corner while the cocky "Bounty Hunter" and his manager JD Styles saunter around the ring. Shortly after The Bounty Hunter enters the ring, the bell rings signifying the start of the match. Both competitors circle around inside the ring measuring each other up. An initial grapple sees Hayes shoving Echelon back with force. Undaunted, Echelon grapples again but this time sends Hayes reeling. A thrid grapple ensues, but Echelon quickly tosses Hayes into the corner with a Japanese Arm Drag. Hayes seems shocked with Ech's strength, and quickly complains to the ref. A fourth tie up occurs, but Hayes suckers Ech with a knee to the gut. Echelon is doubled over in pain as Hayes hammers her from behind with several forearm smashes. Hayes prevents Echelon from getting to her feet, and quickly applies a camel clutch to her. Echelon withstands the pain and reaches to the bottom rope to break the hold. Hayes continues the punishment, dishing out all sorts of abuse while Echelon lays in the corner. An Irish Whip sends Ech across the ring into the opposite corner, where Hayes follows up with more punches to the mid-section. Echelon rallies and counters with her own punches, then snapmares him into the middle of the ring. From there, Ech stretches Hayes out with a modified Dragon Sleeper hold. Hayes manages to break the hold, and lays out Ech with a scoop slam. A stiff clothesline sends Echelon to the mat again, as Hayes goes for the cover. Echelon kicks out and is then picked up by Hayes. A groggy Ech is sent into the ropes, where Hayes meets her with a face claw. The crowd begins to chant her name, as Ech feeds off them and manages to break the hold via several knees to Hayes' stomach. A completely rejuvenated Echelon whips Hayes into the corner and flattens him with a splash. Hayes slowly gets to his feet as Echelon lurks in the corner, measuring him up for a "Fatal Error". It is full speed ahead, as Ech cuts The Bounty Hunter in half with her trademark spear. Hayes manages to roll outside the ring before Ech can get on top for the pin. JD Styles helps the fallen Hayes, while Ech meets him outside. She rolls him back into the ring and attempts a pinfall, but he kicks out just before a 3 count. Both wrestlers are fatigued, as Echelon manages to get to her feet first. She goes to pick up Hayes by the head, but he quickly gets to his feet and hoists Echelon up onto his shoulders. Hayes then administers the "Bail Jumper" and rolls ontop for the pinfall. Winner- "Bounty Hunter" David Hayes via pinfall |
